Conclusions

In the previous post I have the 50 horses that made to the final Derby preps. The main conclusion is the horses come in many different type, but you can see some trends.

Where purchased:

1. Yearling sale – 20
2. Home bred – 17
3. 2 yr old in training sale – 6
4. other – 5

Yearling sales lead by a wide margin,

How much paid:

1. over $1 million
2. over $500,000
3. $250,000 – $500,000
4. $100,000 – $250,000
5. $50,000 – $100,000
6. less than $50,000
